What should I wear to my Physical Therapy sessions?

Comfortable clothing is usually best for physical therapy. Clothes that are comfortable for gentle exercises and supportive sneakers are often good to wear for a physical therapy session.

How long does a Physical Therapy session last?

Typically, the first physical therapy session lasts for 60 minutes. Each session after that may take 30-45 minutes. The therapy session duration will be based on your specific needs, and your therapist will discuss this with you.

Will my physical therapy be covered by insurance?

Yes. Our office accepts many health insurance plans, including workers’ compensation, PIP (personal injury protection), and no-fault insurance. I don’t have insurance for Physical Therapy - what do I do?

For patients who do not have insurance for physical therapy treatment, we offer payment plans at the time of service.

How do I make a payment?

At Bayside Physical Therapy, Chiropractic & Acupuncture, PLLC., we accept cash or check.

Your insurance benefits will be determined before your second visit, and you will be informed of any payment is necessary on that date. We accept all Auto Insurances and many health insurance plans.

How should I prepare for my initial Physical Therapy appointment?

If you have scheduled your first physical therapy visit, you may wonder how to prepare yourself for the session. Here are a few things to think about to help you feel prepared and confident for your first visit. 

 

  • A prescription (if needed) for physical therapy from your referring physician, ARNP, or PA.
  • Insurance information (we will make a copy of your card).
  • Please arrive 15 minutes early to complete any remaining paperwork to maximize your time in your evaluation.
  • In case of an automobile accident or worker’s compensation claim, bring any case manager or insurance adjuster contact names, phone numbers, and claim number.
  • Please wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to your problem areas.
Can I continue Physical Therapy sessions even after I feel better?

Yes, once you have completed your therapy sessions, our experienced physical therapist will review your continuing home program.
